Training Drills That I Like
Training is what it is all about. That is why we run the Bolton Soccer Program. We are trying to prepare players for our middle school and high school teams, as well as premiere soccer and beyond. Additionally, we're creating a fun environment for those just wanting to play for love of the game. We currently have active players participating in college programs. We also have college coaches visiting our high school games to recruit our players. That is because of your dedication to our youth program and all the hard work that you put in!
Stearns' Favorites!
Here are some of my favorite drills. You've probably seen some of them when I've trained with your team. Use them all and enjoy. I encourage you to modify them and find creative ways to make them better... Good Luck!
Stay tuned, more are on the way...
Technical
We are increasing our focus on technical skills. That means improving our players first touch. Without a good first touch, players will never excel at carrying a ball, receiving a ball, passing a ball or shooting a ball.

Warm-Ups
Ensure that your players always do a dynamic warm-up to start practice. I prefer that all warm-ups are done with a ball at their feet. If you see a great warm-up drill that you like, but it is done without a ball, then be creative and find a way to do it with a ball.
